cucumber injury

I had to take down my 50 and reset it up last night becouse of a stand switch. I put the liverock back in, got it filled up and temp stable. I placed one of the powerheads low and across the back glass after finding a lot of "junk" in that area. I put the lifestock back in and sat down to just check on it every now and again.

At about 2 am I saw something stuck in the intake of the power head. It was the new tiger tail cucumber. He was folded in half and stuck fast. I unpluged the head and placed it and the stuck animal in a Hang in tank fish cup. One that the water can not flow in or out. After 1/2 hour it fell out of the intake and I could see the damage.

This morning it is still alive. Its side is scraped up bad but not to deep. Should I keep it in QT (I can move it to another small tank) or just let it lose in the display?

i'd keep it in qt and feed it: an injured cuke can release toxins. Tiger tails are milder than most, but they all have it. Just be patient and hopefully it will heal up.

Now if I could persuade my sea hare not to stick its head up the outflow pipe...
