ID needed black snail
I was looking into my tank the other day and saw these black snails quite a few.. I havent purchased them but they may be from the live rock. Are they dangerous to my corals lps mushrooms polyps. or inverts shrimp etc???[IMG][/IMG]

its about an 1/8 or a 1/4 of an inch long it has a soft translucent shell that kinda looks like a bubble

Yes, the one in the pic is a Stomatella for sure.

That's what those snails are!? I had one in my tank which I cant find and they look like little peanuts. I was about to eat it.

It is possible to accidentally cause them to lose their tails if you try to pick one up, not unlike a lizard. I've never seen the tail turn into another one, but I've always thrown both parts in my tank if I accidentally removed one when it was time to clean some equipment.
