Button Polyp Help -
My friend gave me 2 button polyps and in a matter of a week they formed 6 others on the sand. They are all stuck together. I picked them up and put them on a rock or a spot where I wanted them, and turned off the pumps so maybe they would latch onto the rock.
Get this.... I DON"T KNOW WHAT I AM DOING. I have never had corals. Can someone please help me. How do I get them to stick to start a new colony? What or how do I do it. Chris |

You can attach them with a bit of superglue, or if you can get them to stay in place for about a week or so they will attach themselves. Of course you can't leave your flow off for a week so that option may be a little tough.

nope but watchout they may "spit" at you. their toxin is rather potent so watch out, goggles may help too. but no, no harm in touching them. just get your basic (gel type) super glue or go to the LFS and get some Coralafix and just put a little dab on the bottom of the polyps.
if you wish to put them seperately, cut them apart and do the same thing as mentioned up above.

If you can, dry off the part of the rock where you want to place them with a paper towel. You can also put the super glue gel in the freezer to harden it a little bit.
