Advice
A buddy of mind is going to sell me a 75 gal tank and stand for $300. It does not have a overflow. I was wonder if that was a reasonable price for it. He is also going to give me acouple of cheap canister filters.
Thank you for your help. |

by the tanks i've seen in my newpaper classified, i'd say you'd be paying too much. I've seen 125 gallon tanks, w/ MH lighting, overflow boxes, sump, and stand for $500...
I'd check your newpaper classified ads and i'm sure within a few weeks, you'll find a really good deal

the tank and stand are good deals if you can get them for a dollar a gallon or close to that IMO .you may want to check around and see if you can get a better deal . i'm pretty sure that you could buy it brand new from petco for about that price depending on the stand .look around and good luck

Thanks! that was faster than I expected for any replies. I'll see if he will lower the price, and I will shop around for anything better.
Thank you for the help

I think that's kinda pricey myself. But if it comes with a nice stand or accesories then you will have to weigh that into the mix. I would have no use for the canisters so that wouldn't exactly sweeten the pot unless they were in good enough shape to resale.

that does sound a little much for a 75 gallon tank...... and the canister filter is kinda old school for salt water...but im sure there are still people that still run them.... i would check around for a better deal.... and a bigger tank for that price..... just my 2 pennies
