problem w/ Aqua Medic Turbo Float 1000
I have an old ( 12 yrs) Aqua Medic Turbo, which i'm now having problem with the collection cup. The bubbles in the cone of the cup, seems to go up and down, than a bust of buddles, which pours water in the collection cup. The bubbles are produced by a RIO 2100 pump
I've check in-line, which is feed directly from overflow for any blockages. I also tried tuning the two adjustable water/air control where the clean water drains from and that didn't stop the problem either. I checked the air line as well, no problems. Any idea's on what is causing the problem? |

Has the problem just started, suddenly.
Or has this been ongoing. I have ran a TF1000 for a year with no problems. It was like the Ronco. "Set it & Forget it" |

Just started to happen. I'll have to pull it out of the sump and see if there is a crack some place, that is causing the bubble level to fluctuate. This unit is about 12/13 years old.

If I tamper with my airline my bubble level
would fluctuate like crazy. Maybe a place to look? |

The pump may need cleaned, other than that, make sure water level is consistent, and keep all hoses and outputs cleaned.

Your O ring for the collection cup may have worn a bit letting air/water out intermittantly which could cause a little fluctuation. Your overflow needs to have a constant/consistant flow for the level to remain constant in the skimmer. Your adjustment knobs aren't necessary and when in use tend to keep the level in the skimmer a bit higher. If all else fails then run your overflow next to the skimmer and feed the skimmer with a maxijet 900. Problem solved.
