Reasonably priced Calcium Reactor
What is a good but too expensive Calcium Reactor? I want to get something for my 180, I was looking into the Octopus. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I bought a Korallin 1502 on eBay for cheap. It uses an Eheim pump and is an efficient and reliable unit. Sure, not the latest new toy but it works fine and with a few relatively inexpensive modifications is a nice system.

Keep in mind the reactor is just a simple acrylic tube with a pump. The key is getting a good quality ph controller and regulator like the Milwaukee.
As far as just the reactor chamber goes, I like the GEO as well.

You're looking for a good, but overpriced reactor?
I recommend getting a used one if you're on a budget. The GEO is a very reactor. The Korallin 1502 might be a tad too small for a 180, but it might work. |
