RO Unit question
I have been buying the big 5 Gallon RO container water for $2.50 per bottle which is half the price they cell in the grocery stores... even at $2.50 per 5 gallons I still use about $25 a month on RO water.
For me to buy a RO unit will cost about $160, that is about 7 months of store bought water for me. Looking at it that way I will be saving alot of money since the RO unit would be paid for after 7 months. My question is ... how long does the filters last if I make 20 gallons of water per week ? because I will need to replace the filters and that cost money as well.

on average they last about six months or whenever your TDS starts rising, I'd say 20 gallons a week is quite normal. As long as you keep the carbon, sediment filters, and DI resin changed when needed, the RO membrane should last a few years without replacement
