im new to corals and bought this frag last week, my question is how long does it take to atatch to a rock. I have a rubberband around it for the second time, i actually had it to tight and it went right threw it,it hasnt opened or elongated but doesnt have any slime or look like its dying but it hasnt attached to anything yet.

They way I do it is to take 2 small pieces of live rock, one with a small indentation in it. Place the frag between the 2 pieces of live rock with the frag in the indentation and rubber band the 2 rocks together.

you can try a toothpick. stick the toothpick thru the base and then use rubberbands to hold the toothpick down on the rock. could take a few days, could be a week or more; there is no set timeline.

When i fragged mine i tried the toothpick method.
It didn't work out so well for me either time.
I just put a rubberband around it Loosely,
and it is still on the piece of rock...
I don't even think it is attached yet.
It's been about three weeks.

Did you move it to a low flow area? What happened with toothpick method, did toothpick come out or did frag just never attach?

Try a small plastic ziptie, it holds it without cutting through like a rubberband will.
