where can i get sheets of acrylic or plexiglass????
i am building a sump..where can i get these materials...does home depot or lowes carry them...i was looking on their website but didnt see them

They do carry them but not in the thinckness you will want. Call local glass shops or look in the phone book under acrylic or plastic. Might take a few calls but you should be able to find someone.

You can also build a sump from glass. I've worked with plexi before and it is no fun. A good glass shop can drill holes for bulkheads and do square corner cuts to make 'L' shapes. Just be sure to have the edges polished.

You might call some local hardware stores and see if they have any in the thickness you want. IF not a glass shop should have it.

I know lowes carries 1/4" acrylic sheets, but Im pretty sure theyre overpriced. I would check and see if you have a local plastics shop. I went that route and had good results.

I just got some on Ebay shipped to my door 60 dollars cheaper than USPlastics which is in my city. Popdisplays I believe. He has all of the odd sizes.
