If I have a 800gph overflow can I run a 600gph return pump?

Is this an HOB overflow? What is it? The 800 GPH rating is a maximum flow number. Very few overflows can actually achieve the flow rate they advertise. A 600 GPH pump should be fine.

Be sure you get one with a single U tube, not double.
