Where to get a great sump for 90 SPS
Hey all-
I am trying to find a great sump for a 90 gallon tank which I plan to have SPS dominated. The tank is bare bottom and will have a 20 gallon refugium tank plumbed off to the side. The sump needs to fit a big skimmer and anything else I might add in the future. I was thinking of an ADHI 30 maybe. I am sick of the rubbermaid container routine and would prefer acrylic. Thanks, Iaanr |

I just ordered the ADHI 30 Refugium/Sump from Aquacave for my 90. BTW there is a 5% off coupon available for Aquacave right now.
Can't wait to get the sump and get it all setup within the next month or so... I'd be curious to know what you end up with. |

What I would do is think of the best skimmer you can possibly get for your tank.
Find out what footprint you need, and make yourself a custom acrylic sump. I built mine for 120-150. They will charge you an arm and a leg to assemble it, but its pretty easy if you have patience and a few clamps. It saved me about 80 dollars putting it together myself. |

Thanks for all the replies. I have an ADHI 30 sump/refugium already on the way. The skimmer compartment should suffice. Can't wait to get it.
Oh, and I am gonna ditch the side tank for now. Last edited by iaanr; 02/27/2009 at 11:51 AM. |
