rubble rock in filter?

is it a good idea to take out the filter pads in my hang on the back filter and fill the filter cavity with rubble rock?

i would not. as long as you are cleaning/replacing the filter pads you will be fine. you do need to have something to help export the waste. i do hope that you have a protien skimmer on the tank too.

ya aquac remora with maxi jet 1200. how often should I change my pads? or can i just clean them off?
