What is a good t5 setup for lps reef?

The time has come to set up my 90 gallon and the last piece of equipment to get are the lights. After using halides for awhile i have decided to go with t5s. The tank will be mainly a lps reef with zoos, palys, mushrooms. I have been looking into tek fixtures and am now debating on a 6 or 8 bulb and the assortment of bulbs. The tank is 24 inches deep. Thanks for any advice.

you should look into the a.t.i. sunpower it would be a much better choice for about the same price there is a good thread on them in the reefgeek section on the sponsor section

Im more concerned with the number of bulbs...either 6 or 8, and what bulb assortment for good coloration. I did look at the fixture and i notice it only comes 6 bulb. Seems like a nice fixture and i will be keeping that in mind if i decide to go with a 6 bulb.

8 bulbs is likely to be too much for mushrooms, zoos and low light sps, imo.

6 bulb sunpower>8 bulb tek

You could get by with a 4 bulb even

Very interesting. Perhaps I will go with the ati fixture. I would still like to have the capability of keeping mid light sps so I am considering the 6 bulb.
