Odyssea T5 HOs? Anyone heard of them?

I am looking to upgrade to t5 HOs

Is this a good fixture it's $140 on ebay with bulbs, 2 12k and 2 true actinic. Not sure exactly what that means.

I was looking at current USAs but it's about 250 with the bulbs.

I want to save money but is it worth the compromise?

I just run sofites and some and a hammer and frogspawn.

My tank needs help and I am using 5 year old power compacts (yes the bulbs are 5 years old too, but only used for 1.5 years)

Any advise would be appreciated.

no odyssea is not good. I looked around for some similar ones and found a great site with good lights with an amazing price.

they have great deals. My friend and I both have different sizes of their T5HO setups. IMO they are great. You can choose the bulb coloration as you like. They are great fixtures with a great price. They are not top of the line but with the the corals you keep they will be much more than adequate. I keep a gigantea anemone, two rbta's, a gbta, anthelia, xenia, Palys, frogspawn, and GSP under mine and they are all thriving.

They work fine for me. But my 4 ft 216 watt lights only pulls about 175 on my kill-a-watt. You can buy them for 80-100 bucks for a 4 ft fixture at aquatraders. It isn't a high quality fixture by it works.

O wow wierd! Most of them were in stock last week. I emailed with the manager about 2 weeks ago about the 24" for my mini frag tank but it was out of stock. He said they will be restocked by next month. If you can wait until then I think its worth it but thats up to you

Talking

I went to aquatraders... and bought the Odyssea... I mean for 83 bucks including shipping, and bulbs... it's my own fault if they are crap, but the have got to be better than my 2X64 PCs with 5 year old bulbs.... I was looking at $110 at the LFS for new bulbs alone.

Besides if it burns my house down then insurance will pay off the 120k i've lost on it since 05'.... Nice!!
