1 tsp per gallon of RO/DI is roughly 14.0

Current Tank Info: SPS dominated barebottom display with BB sump since 2005, most consistant parameters in 19+ years of reefkeeping.

sodium bicarbonate (arm & hammer baking soda) 1 lb. per gallon of RO/DI will lower Alk.
one lb. of sodium carbonate per gallon of RO/DI will raise Alk.

IMO, its safer than Mrs. Wages due to purity of the lime.

one pound of A&H on a cookie sheet @ 300F for one hr. releases the Co2, mix with one gallon of RO/DI using a powerhead to raise your ALk.

Sounds complicated, isnt pickling lime the same as Kalk? If so like reefnet said 1 tsp per gallon of RO.
