how long before my male clown turns into a female??

my female clown died and i'm planning on getting another one but it may be a few weeks, how long do i have before my male turns into a female? thanks

You should ask the question over in the Anemone and Clown Fish Forum, they will need to know what type of clown you have.

4 days, 16 hours and 22 seconds.

I really don't see it changing into female in a couple of weeks. But, if you want to be extra safe, could always get a smaller one then what you have now.

Jiffy is right. Just get a smaller one then the one you have now . the big one will turn in to a women, and the smaller one will turn in to a man. Get one the is the same spices.

once they hatch, should they be removed from the display tank?

If I had it my way, I would spend half my day fishing and the other half watching my fish!

thanks guys, i was hoping for the male to stay the male because i don't want to get a fish smaller than him, but maybe i will.
