Does RK2 come with DC8
Just wondering if the Reefkeeper was purchased from Marine Depot or Drsfostersmith or somewhere like that would it come with a DC8?

Yes it does, but the reefkeeper 2 has been discontinued. Digital Aquactics now has the ReefKeeper Lite to take its place. There are 3 different stages Of the RKL. Check out their website for more details. The stage 3 RKL come with 8 controllable outlets. I believe the stage 1 only comes with 4.

Whats the difference between the RK2 and the RK lites. I know there are 3 different ones. I did find a place with a few RK2's left. Are the lites better for some reason.

First, there is no difference between the three RKL packages as far as operation or features goes. They are just packaged with different modules to suit different needs. The RKL does everything that the RK2 does, but it also does a lot more. It is also expandable and the RK2 is not. You can also upgrade the RKL in the future to a Reefkeeper Elite and all you need to do is change out the head unit. All of the modules that work with the RKL will work the same with the RKE.
Even though the RK2 isn't being manufactured anymore, it will still be supported by DA. So if you can get a deal on one and it covers your needs you don't need to worry about buying an unsupported product.

if i was buying, it go ahead & get a lite in whatever configuration you need right now as it will be easy to upgrade down the road ....unless you find a rk2 for a steal of a price....then you have a tough decision to make LOL
