Eheim 1262. Been running it on my 120 with dual outlets for over 2 years now never stopped, made a noise even hiccupped. Best pump hands down

Now all this depends on what kind of flow you are wanting here. You could get one rated at 1500gph, but would that do you any good?? What rate pump are you looking for?? Any line of the Quiet One pumps hands down, for none maintenance and absolutely no noise.

The overflows in my 120 AGA are rated at 600gpm each. So any pump over 1200gph would need to be throttled back anyway.

The Eheim seems quite weak for two overflows. Probably well under 300 gph per outlet after head loss. But Nauticac4 seems pretty happy with the flow & has the same tank.
Another option could be a Quiet One 5000. That would probably be around 400-450 gph after head loss. Not sure if it's correct but the Eheim is 28 watts & the QO pump is 110 watts. That's a pretty large difference based on That Fish Place website. |
