Mantis removal?

well I have a tank full of gulf rock, and have been lucky to get most of the mantis before the rock went in the tank or during aquascaping...

But I am hearing the clicking noises @ night sounds like a snap twice then again a few seconds later...Cant see the mantis but figure it's at the back of the tank...

I do need to catch it right, no fish except a couple damsels right now and 7 pepermint shrimp along with snail and hermits...its pretty loud that I heard it over the TV...Whats the pro and cons of the guys and how do I trap it?

I dont want to have to remove all the rock again...

Clicking could be a mantis or it could be a pistol shrimp. Catching a mantis is easy with a fish trap with controllable door (fish line or similar) baited with shrimp.
