Shrimp lost arm: will it grow back?

Hello. Tonight, while introducing my new coral banded shrimp to my tank, his left big pincher arm got caught up in the net somehow, and just fell off. Didn't seem like there could have been barely any pressure on it, but the arm still fell off. Will his arm grow back, or am I the new owner of a one-armed shrimp for the rest of his life?

I believe, if I recall correctly, that it will begin to regenerate when it sheds it's exoskeleton.
Can anyone confirm / deny that for sure?

My pistol shrimp lost his pistol arm about a year ago. Only took about 2 months to grow back. Amazing little creatures.

My CBS lost one of his big arms in a fight, and I swear - he molted the next night and the following day it was back. Kind of scary weird they can do that so fast.

Look closer, If it's an empty husk/shell then it shed and is hiding until new shell hardens. If it's not then it may be dead. They don't lie on their backs.

One day my Coral Banded clipped all the antennae down to an inch on my Cleaner shrimp. The Cleaner must have molted that night because the next morning the Cleaner had his full length antennae back.

My CBS lost BOTH of its arms recently. I have no idea how/why, but i noticed it a few days after adding a relatively mean clown to my tank. I was blown away how quickly they grew back, it was a matter of just a few weeks and they are now fully grown in.
