replacing 140 with a 156 Ultimate and a fuge
Just wondering what I should reuse from the old setup. Right now it is FOWLR and new is going to have reef. This tank is at my restaurant so going BB so no one grabs the mag float again and scratches the glass.
This is my current equipment: Mag 9.5 return Kent Marine Nautilus TE protein skimmer with a mag 9.5 Prime chiller (unsure of pump) Koralia 2 I have a 48" sump being built for the new tank. It goes: sump/return/fuge. Also have 2 modded MaxiJet 1200 on their way. Any suggestions? Was thinking of 1 Dart pump for everything? Right now the sump flow seems ok but not sure of the 1 9.5 to feed both returns. |

The water doesn't cycle. It is the surfaces in the water, rock and sand growing bacteria. If you transfer the rock directly over or within a few days (as long as it stays wet and circulated) you should be good.

I will be doing it all in 1 night. I do not currently have any sand. I will be adding it later to the fuge. Would the Outer Orbit with 2x150mh and 4x54 t5 be enough light for most?

Place the SPS higher in the tank and you should be OK.

Sweet. Think the 1 mag 9.5 will be ok for return? Was wanting to buy a Dart and just run everything off of it.

Here are some pics of the old junk.
Trying to get this thing back in shape. I have a new oceanic ultimate 156 on order. Nitrates have been over 200 for a while now but are coming down |
