please help with sick blonde naso! PICS!!

hello, I just bought this guy and currently have him in my QT tank. I believe the white stuff on him is ich but:

What is all that black stuff around his body and face area?

I'm going to treat him with copper. Will this rid him of this desease should I be feeding him in my QT?

thanks ahead.

Obviously I can't be 100% sure without a tissue scrape, but it does indeed look like an ich infestation. The black spots could be anything from hyper-pigmentation (due to damage from the parasites) to "black ich" (Amyloodinium), which is another similar type of parasite. I would begin treating the ich (Cryptocaryon irritans) as soon as possible. If it is "black ich" then it will be treated simultaneously with the C. irritans. See the following for more details:

On a side note, I appreciate that you posted such useful photos. It definitely helps when you can actually tell what you're looking at, which does not happen too often on these forums.
