Unhappy Brain ate zoa??

I think my green brain coral absorbed a couple of zoa polyps. The zoas were floating around loose and then i noticed they were sitting on top of the brain coral. I tried to pull them off but it was like they were glued in there. I didn't force it because it felt like i was going to tear the brain or the zoas. Now, 2 days later, the zoas are gone and the brain doesn't look too happy. It is still bright green but it's all shrunken and hasn't opened up. It's usually big and fat with all the tenticles out.

I don't know what to do. Should I wait and see?

Is it normal for a coral to react like this when it eats something or are the zoas toxic?
