sps corals delayed in shipping, 24->48 hours? will anything survive?
just had a quick question for those of you experienced in shipping. my i ordered some LPS, clams and SPS and it was supposed to be setup for overnight delivery, but for some reason, i checked tracking and it is now delayed to the next day. is there still hope that the corals will survive?
any info is appreciated, thanks |

if they remain at the appropriate temp they should be fine. but too much temp fluctuation and you could open some stinky bags

The LPS and SPS should be fine, unless like doug said some major temp swings. No experience with claims but would think they are even stronger as they can sort of shut up shop.

I took some SPS back with me on vacation in a cardboard / styrofoam box like used in shipping. They were in there for 48 hours and made it fine, but the box was in my car or in the hotel the whole time. If it was left out on a loading dock for a couple hours I wouldn't know what the results could be.
