I bet it will perform really well.........but it is really unattractive to my eyes. White can look very nice, but allthe funny angles and sharp corners just look strange. Then all the gray fittings, red adjustment stem and black bubble plate really look hoaky.
I know, I know, who cares what it looks like if it performs well? I am just sharing my 1st impression.

I think it looks fine. Kinda wierd that they would stray from the typical Deltec colors though. The color is part of the brand IMO. In the same way that Honda dirt bikes are red, yamaha is blue, suzuki yellow etc..
One of the first rules of business school is to never mess with an established brand. |

Maybe the photo was of the prototype and not the production model.

but the double bubble plate is acttualy design by deltec to seperate from "clean" to "dirty" water, this design gets the "clean" water out from the air/water area, what lets only the "dirty" water to come in contact with the bubbels which makes skimming a lot more efficiant.. i like all the judgets thay put into this skimmer..

Look very nice they move water inlet/outlet into smaller column body to keep the pump run with less back pressure and to able to pull this amount of air in less watt.

Deltec has always made good performing skimmers. The design was starting to get dated. The new one looks very innovative. I could do without the white plastic, but whatever. As long as it works well.

Good point made. I think thats one of it better features. They did mention that they are coming out with an internal model, I wonder how thats going to work as far as back pressure is concerned? I think we should not worry about how a skimmer works , but rather how it performs, and customer service. |
