Question about live sand please

I have a tub of live sand (maybe dead now) setting in a tub of salt water. It's been sitting for 2 years. It doesnt smell or anything. has a salty ,neutral smell to it.Is it safe to use in a new setup? or should I just throw it out?

You can reuse it, but it is dead. You may want to flush it with a garden hose to clean out any decaying debris that may still be trapped inside before you reuse it.

there's about 100lbs soo I dont see why not, especialy if I rinse it.
