Looks like a Rhodactis (frilly) mushroom. Nice grab!

Are you sure it isnt a mini carpet anemone? I have been looking around and it seems more like a mini carpet than a rhodactis

That is a possibility that I hadn't considered. If you touch it and it's sticky, then you are probably right!

I got it because it was a pretty flat little rock, I was going to cut it up to use as frag "plugs", I figured it was just a pest nem and a razor blade would probably take care of it. Cool any info on how big they get, are they primarily photosynthetic? How do they reproduce? Its at the bottom of the tank under 150 DE halide, should it be moved up?
It ate a mysis today, while I was feeding my acans a few pieces floated away and as soon as it hit the mini carpet it grabbed it. |
