Buffing?

A friend of mine gave up on one of his tanks i 36?gal 30long 23 high and 12 deep

He gave it to me so im trying to clean it up nice nice and get it ready.
I scrubbed it and razor blade it today and once it dried I noticed a water line loooks horrid.

Any ideas on how to remove this hard water stain ??(glass tank)

Also what kind of black paint should I use for the back of the glass tank?
Flat...gloss...what type for metal, or plastic?

for the back i would use krylon fusion, it works for all types of surfaces. Is the water stain like etching? You could try soaking it in vinegar and then razor off

If it is empty just use as much as you need and then rinse it really well. It works wonders. Hopefully it is not etched into the glass because then you cant remove it. Good luck.
