bubble algae help..

I have a bubble algae problem out of control.. I can't keep birdsnest coral because algae would get caught inside the birds nest. Clogging up the pump intake too.

I think I want to try some hermits, or green mithrax but I don't know. I am the best at picking them out, but sometimes they stuck on the rock and I break them then they grow again.
I still can't get all of them.

I have had this for years but I really want to keep this under control for good now.

When my first tank had a problem with bubble algae I took a bucket of saltwater and removed each rock individually to pull of the bubbles in the bucket. This way I could try to limit the amount of spore that supposedly released by the popped bubbles.

I had tried Mithrax crabs several times, and they did NOTHING. The Red Sea Sailfin Tang(desjardini) allegedly likes to eat the stuff.

I ended up doing what ludnix did, removing rocks and picking/scrubbing them off and heavily swishing the rocks before they went back in. Haven't seen the crap since .

Can you confirm that you can pop the small ones and they do not spread the algae?
