Looking for Suggestions on Auto Fish Feeder

I'm planning a short vacation and would like to get an automatic fish feeder.

I'd like to get some recommendations on what auto fish feeder to buy and recommendations on what not to buy.

I usually feed once a day and feed pellets.

Did it work well for you?

Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Worked great; I used to be in the Thunderbirds and traveled four days a week from Mar-Nov never had a problem. I like the fact that you can set it for more than one feeding per day. I have read quite a few threads about this over the years and this is the one that gets recommended.

Doesn't the flake food have a tendancy to stay on top of the water and end up going down the overflow? It sounds like the Eheim can only use flake food. I would think it would have a tough time penetrating the water column before it goes over the overflow.

thats what I was thinking, Ive tried auto feeders before and it always just ends up in the overflow, even if I put it at the opposite end of the tank
