Can I use this?

My return pump took a dump on me and I was wondering if I could use a submersible pump made for ponds untill I can get a new one? It can pump 2000 gph my other pump, pumped 1190. Do you think it would be ok to use it for a night or two?

Probably ok. Some of the pumps we normally use are pretty much just remarketed pond pumps anyway. But I'd be cautious with the additional gph -- could be too much for your overflows.
FWIW,

Thanks Mariner. The package said for freshwater only so I wasn't sure if I could use it or not.

Hmmm....well, I'd pay more attention to the package than some yahoo on Reef Central Probably says that for a reason. I suspect it's got parts or screws that won't stand up to saltwater corrosion.

Keep an eye on your evaporation, and keep the display circulating (as said above). You can go a while like that. A couple weeks even if you needed to. There are lots of skimmer free reefs, and plenty that don't use a fuge. If you do have a fuge, I'd keep water circulating in there too so it doesn't become stagnant
