om 4-way vs two om squirts

The bottom of my tank is only drilled for two returns, so all other returns must go over the back glass. i'm playing with the idea of running my fuge, a out-of-sump skimmer, dual returns, and possibly up to four more lines that will replace the powerheads with a 4,600gph or 4,800gph external pump. I have two 1" overflow holes, so I haven't quite figured out how I will do this. However, one of my decisions is if it will be better to run two squirts or one 4-way. What ya think? Any constructive comments on the entire set-up is also welcome.
