Limit to adding corals

I am new to reef.Is there is any tank size limit for adding corals like fish.Number of fish depends on the tank capacity is the same thing true for corals?

Not really, but they will compete for space and potentially sting each other.

I don't think corals add to the bioload the way fish do. I would definitely limit additions to a newly cycled tank but I think in a mature system the main limiting factors would be space and cost.

With corals the main issue is the change in alkalinity and calcium demand. Then, of course, space issues.

One good thing about SPS corals, they are easy to frag when they get too big, wish I could do that to some of my fish.

Ya, I have a Tyree Alien Eye Kole Tang that I've been fraggin' up. That is a money maker, doesn't grow to fast though.

To OP: no there is no limit other than space, and supplying chemistry needed to grow.
