T5 LED bulb
I was using VHO T5 for long time. About time to change my bulbs again. I'll like to get some feedback about T5 LED bulbs.

There are LED sets that look like flourescent tubes, but I didn't think they worked on the same systems.

Are you talking about the "Oceanus LED Light" ?
http://www.oceanus-light.com/oceanusled.html I've sent them an email and they replied saying they are reef compatable, then I've read on a forum that they're not. I once saw a video of the par readings from them but I can't seem to find it since. So still uncertain about them. By the looks of it though they don't plug into any t5 socket. Looks like the end connects to a cord that plugs into the wall. |

the power consomption 48 watts and the light output 2200 lumens is consistent with a regular NO flourescent
