To powerful of a return pump??
What would happen if my return pump is to powerfull??

worst case you flood your DT and eventually the room. The return water would be coming in faster than your drains can handle. Other than that most ppl reccommend 5-10x your DT volume flowing through your sump.

You can always add a valve on the output side of the pump to slow down the flow going back to the display tank.

Many people like to put a valve on pumps that are too much for their overflows to handle, but I prefer to use the correct size pump.
