BTA has silverside stuck in his mouth. Pic inside

I fed my BTA a silverside for the first time (usually feed scallop) and I apparently fed too big of a piece and now it has been stuck for about 2 hours.

Is there anything I can do or should I just let it go?

How big is the anemone and how big was the silver side that you feed to the Bubble Tip Anemone?

Clowns101,

the nem is about 2 1/2" across and the silverside was about 1 1/2"

block head,

way too big right? I will try a smaller piece like you said. I guess he will prolly spit out what he dont eat.

Don't worry about it, like you said, it will spit out what it can't eat.
Let the crabs have a feast!

Yes the peice that you feed was WAY to BIG.I would try feeding something mysis shrim due to the fact that the anemone is so small and that anemones seem not to digest the silversides very fast unlike mysis or krill.

Anemones are planktivores, even 1/4 of that silverside is a bigger piece of food than it would be likely to ever get naturally. For an anemone that size I'd suggest mysis or even just some falke food or pellets.

Don't feed small anenomes, it's that simple. They can grab food from the water when you feed. I actually don't feed LTAs at all. I have 5 splits in my sump that have been there for 2 years and they are huge and healthy and have never been fed anything - except light.
