Varying current during night/day??
Is it better to maintain a consistent current OR should I have it correspond to my lighting timer? I would like as much input as possible. THANKS!

I've never bothered with it. Leaving all of my pumps on doesn't seem to have any effect

The waves rarely stop rolling over the reefs in the ocean. Don't be worried about constant flow, but you should try and get the flow as irregular as possible. Don't get me wrong, switching currents are different, they simulate the waves going in and then out.

When you say "irregular" do you mean as in directions of current flow OR in frequency in which the pumps turn on/off?

it definitely won’t hurt, as long as you don't point a PH directly at a coral.
