Green coraline

I have a green coraline type algae growing in my tank. Is this good? It's reallytouvh to get off the glass so I am assuming it's a coraline algae.

It is good. You will get green, pinks and purples. It means your water is where it needs to be. And not just in the tank either!!

I also have green coraline in my DT, I think it is prettier than the pinks. Agreed your water parameters are in check if you are getting any color coraline.

I was hoping I would get some more purple, but it doesn't seem like it wants to go anywhere off the rocks. I am getting the green growing on all of the base rock and hard to clean areas of the tank.

Isn't that always the way, it likes to grow right up against my Koralias just where I can't get the scraper in my tank.

Green Coraline is fine. If you want to help keep it off of the main glass, just use a Mag Float every day on the glass.

I have a rule, every time I look at the tank, I give the glass a once over with the Mag Float.

Way to go flipper +1 It takes 2 minutes to wipe the glass once a day with a magnet. it takes alot longer to get all the algea off the glass with a scrapper.
