Cuc ??
I have been lurking for some time now. It is now time to come out of the closet.
My tank has been running now for about 6 months. I have a small bioload of 5 fish. (2 - O. clown, 2 - B/W stipped damsels, and 1 - pink spot goby) I got a good deal of CUC when the tank was started. Over time, I had a couple of deaths and took some out to start up a small 20g softie tank for my son. After the tank is established and running, what is a good indicator if you still have enough or too many snails and hermits. I know there are numerous answers to how much I feed and what my parameters are. I was just looking for that quick item that jumps out as to if the CUC is still at good numbers. Tank looks great. No algae, PO4 and NO3 are undetectable. Substate is very clean. Thanks for any help. |

The underlining criteria to know if you have a sufficient CUC is algae. If your rock and sand are staying clean then you have enough.
