can I mix SW with sand in there?
would it be okay to mix the SW while sand is in the tank? Im assuming its okay, but its been a long time since I set up a tank from scratch, so...

i always recommend people to do it without sand or in another container. dont know anyone who has done it with sand in the tank already

in my current 180gal I mixed with sand in there...the only thing is you have to make sure the salinity in the sand is equal....so i mixed it around with fingers and a power head blowing at the sand. making sure that there are not pockets of fresh water trapped in there

okay, thanks... I think Ill probably just end up mixing it w/o the sand. need to do a leak test anyways...
