Lighting ideas for 24 X 24 X 24 CUBE 60 GALLONS.

I have a 400 watt ballast laying around. I will not be running a sump so i am concerned about temps. Other options include 8 bulb t-5s. Or ebay 24 250 hqi fixture. Any help is gratefully appreciated.

if you are looking for in expensive. (ebay) I would look into the fish need it 250w pendant, I have it on my solana and love it. Very cheep, decent construction, option of 10k,14k, and 20k bulb. Though you may want to change that out, my 14k looks like a 10k.
Just my 2 cents

24" deep, I'd go a single 400w with the best reflector available.

I have the same exact tank, and I went with the 8 bulb ATI powermodule.

Im still in the build, but its getting there. My bulbs should be in today!

I have a 30x30x30 cube with a 400w XM bulb, lumenark ballast, and a lumenmax reflector.

I bleached some new corals its so mcuh light. Id say get a good/big reflector like a lumenmax or similar but go with a 250w

I'd get a single ended pendent and use your 400w ballast to burn a radium halide bulb... Done.

IMO, I'd either run a 250w or do a quality six-bulb fixture... sounds like a nice setup, keep us updated in URS!

look into lumenbright mini pendent and hook up your 400watt ballast
you can easily hang the pendent 15 or more inches off of the water
