LIVE rock question

i have taken out live rock from my main display... do i have to keep a heater on to keep it alive? i only have a powerhead running in a bucket

I kept mine in a rubbermaid trashcan for 3 months in between houses and it was fine with just a powerhead. I kept it inside the house in room temp though. All the algae died off, but it all came back pretty fast.

best to keep the live rock at least around 80 deg and if there is any life worth keeping on it have it under appropriate lighting.

+1 a heater definitely wouldn't hurt if you have one laying around. Powerhead is way more important though.
