Carbon Reactor

I am thinking about running carbon on my new tank just to keep the water clean and wanted to know what other people use for carbon reactors since I have never ran one before. thanks

I use a old R/O unit just changed the tube to a larger size got some refillable canisters for R/O units and filled one with GFO and the other with carbon . Runs on a MJ 1200

I have 2 x tlf reactors on one tank (GFO & carbon), on the other i got 2 x BRS single reactors doing the same thing. when you price it out, the BRS reactors are the same or cheaper than going to HD/Lowes because the come with the fittings and tubing you would need to buy to connect them. I run mine t'd off the return manifold

I was given a old R/O unit for free . It cost me about 50 bucks total to get it going including pump . $60 + cost of pump + shipping at BRS for the same thing . But yes if you don't have a old R/O unit just laying around then it might be cheaper for BRS's Reactor .

For bulk reef supply is there another way to get the discount price or do you have to put together a really big group order

edit: also can you GFO and carbon in the same reactor or does it have to be different ones?

I just bought this one as a GFO reactor but it works great It includes a pump and it only took me 20 minutes to set up. I bought it from a different website it was $40 including shipping http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merch...&Store_Code=PA
