What kind/brand Glue should I get for gluing soft corals like mushroom, zoas,..

one of my mushrooms came off the rock last night and I found it trapped in the powerhad but its not damaged. I want to know what kind/brand of glue I should use to glue it back to a rock.

Thanks,
Bijan

Superglue GEL - Must be a GEL - I like using locktight it costs more, but the handles on the sides let you yse more out of the tube.
Dollar store stuff works but you cant really use a little then use it again later because it dries up.

You will more than likely not be able to glue a mushroom..they are just too slimy. I would suggest putting it in a "bowl" with a piece of rock and covering it with some netting and keeping it like that for a week or so..it should attach on its own.

You might want to sew the mushroom to a piece of LR with monofilament fishing line. It will eventually stick to the rock and you can snip the mono line if it is visible.

I always use superglue on the bottom of zoas. I actually don't use the gel (not because I don't like it, its probably a lot easier to use) but just because I have the liquid sitting around and I don't glue enough to really bother. I find it works best if you let it dry a little before you press it onto the rock.

wow, ryandlf. Don't know how you do that. I accidentally bought the non-gel type and couldn't use it at all so I tossed it out. You should try the gel. It's a LOT easier.

As joeychitwood said, glueing a mushroom is nearly impossible. I've had good luck using putting a small rock and the mushroom in an old fashioned clear shot glass and setting it in the bottom of the tank in a low flow area. They usually attach to the rock within a couple days. You can then glue the small rock to a larger rock or wedge it in a crevice somewhere in the aquascape.

+1 dont even bother trying to glue a shoom it wont end well, I was successful once but it detatched its self within a few days. there is a reason it came off in the first place, it just doesn't like were you put it because of light, flow ect......

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I put the mushroom with a small rock in a small glass in the tank, hopefully the mushroom attaches itself to the rock then I glue the rock to the bigger rocks.

Thanks,
Bijan
