Angry cleaner shrimp dead

I have had a cleaner shrimp for about two months now and he seemed to be doing fine. In that period he shed his outer skin at lest three times that I noticed. This morning i noticed another shedding and could not find him in his usual hiding spot. A little later on in the day I found him but again not in his usual manner but alive . Tonight he was dead when i got home. Any ideas? I did a water change yesterday and all levels and temp were the same with the new water. I did two previous water changes since i have had him and it did not seem to affect him. Any ideas?

These shrimp usually only live a year or two, I think. Was he pretty big when you got him? Could be he was just near the end of his lifespan.

What are you're water parameters for everything that you're testing for?

Ya he was a fair size, so that may very well be. When I did my water change the saltinity was 1.025 in both the main tank and new water. When I mixed the new water it was heated to 78 degrees same as the main tank and the nitrates and phosphates were both at zero in both main and new water. Could it have been not enough tank for him I have a 25gal?
