Are you referring to the candy cane? I don't see a frogspawn.

If it looks like that after a week and a half, I would try moving it. Do you know what kind of lighting it was under before?

They do not like a lot of flow, so make sure it's not getting hammered. Otherwise they can be acclimated to very high light and can tolerate low light conditions.

Took me a while to find it too, that's a rough looking frogspawn. Ditto the others, low flow. Being up near the top isn't that important, they're not light hogs.

I would put it down low with VERY low flow and low light. My frogspawn opens up nice and wide when it has barely any flow.

I put it in a low light with low flow area in the tank. It appears like it is brown and closing up. I don't know if it's stressed and I should wait it out, or not.

I have mine in medium flow, but low flow should work.

I'm pretty certain they do not require high lighting. I've had one for 1 and a half years...doing great in the shade.

don't pull it until you're absolutely certain every bit of tissue is gone. LPS corals have a tendency to surprise their owners and grow back from next to nothing. I had one frogspawn head return after being just a bit of green goo at the bottom of the skeleton. It later branched off to 4-6 heads.

I have often noticed that a lot of people recommend that this coral prefers low lighting conditions but my own experience is little different. My frogspawn loves the light and only thrives when I have them directly under my halides. I have two the size of a basketball and another colony that is taking over a two foot square section of my tank.

I do agree that they will not tolerate a lot of flow and being in the direct path of any powerhead will quickly rip them apart. Mine only closes up when it has too much flow.
