What mfg...
Hi!
I recently obtained a 70g glass tank (36"l x 18"w x 25"d) and have been unable to determine the manufacturer. It has a center brace and I have been unable to find any stickers of any sort that would be of any indication to the manufacturer... It has black trim, appearingly non-starphire glass, and 3/8" glass. Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

If it helps there are two stickers on the bottom.
One reads, "assembled by: PAT 2-99" and the other something about the bottom panel being tempered for strength and durability or the like.

I'm guessing Perfecto - their 65 gallon. They label their tanks with assembly month and year. I think they also include initials of assembler.

Aha!
I think you may have found it! Thank you!! I do have one more question however, are all panels tempered or could I in theory drill one of the 36" panels? Thanks!

Glad I could help! I'm not sure about your question though. I would call the manufacturer (Perfecto is in Indiana). They've gone through a lot of changes since 1999, but you may be able to get someone to tell you. I'd be afraid to drill this tank, because they tend to use fairly thin glass on these tanks.
I'm sure someone in the DIY forum would be familiar with these tanks and whether or not they can be drilled.

If thats a perfecto, only the bottom panel is gonna be tempered. Idk why but the only tank perfecto makes as of to date that is all tempered is the 55. Maybe cause the glass is thin on teh 55?

The brace and trim looks very much like my AGA to me, but AGA tanks have a label on the base trim. They are now called Aqueon and I'm not sure how they label or mark their tanks.

Nah that brace isnt AGA. I know because one of the reason I bought my elos was because I was comparing bracing like mad because I didnt like the bar gonig across the top like that. The AGA brace is wider, where the perfecto is thinner like that.
