Major Screwup

I really did it this time. I was doing a water change and killing some aiptasia on my SPS tank. After killing the aiptasia I realized I had bugspray on my arms from earlier in the day. I washed off my arms and started the water change. I already have more water mixing for another water change and I cleaned the skimmer and put it to skim wet. How soon will it be before I see if the tank crashes. None of the fish look bad yet.

Does anything look affected? I would run some carbon as well as the things you are already doing. I hope everything ends up ok for your reef! I feel for you!

I seen a thread identical to this a couple months ago....

2 or 3 people chimed in saying they did the same thing and saw no negative effects.

I would run carbon either way.

+1 on the carbon. You would be surprised how much stuff on your skin can get in the water and not cause a blip. Lotion, perfume, oils etc. It takes quite a bit most of the time to cause any problems although some critters can be extra sensitive. Don't stress too much. You put it on your skin after all. Can't be too nasty.
