Anyone use JBJ brand halides?

Hi everyone.

I have 4x150w DE halides. Two of them are Sunpark brand ballast w/ Ushio 20K bulbs. I like these, even though I will go with something less blue next time.

My problem is the other two... They are JBJ brand ballasts, and have 10k (nameless) bulbs. I bought them used locally, so I'm not sure how old the bulbs are. They are not NEARLY as bright as my Ushios. They really aren't even worth having on.

My question is this: I know I need to replace the bulbs right away. Will that likely solve the problem? Or will I need to replace the JBJ ballasts too? Is there really any way to know which component is at fault before my new bulbs arrive?

Thanks!!

Try swapping the bulbs. That will tell you if it's the bulbs or the ballasts.
