SE MH lamps
I am running 2 - 250 MH SE lamps using mogul retro kits. I have been having trouble with keeping SPS in my 120 so I am grasping at straws. A couple of freinds suggested that because I don't have a glass shield on my retro mogul fixtures that they are dying because of UV radiation from the lamps. I have read that double end bulbs need a glass but the single end bulbs do not. Is anyone using single end MH bulbs without a glass successful with SPS corals?

SE bulbs have UV protection in the bulb itself so no uv shield is needed. What are your parameters? Flow? Where are your sps placed? what type of reflector are you using? how high are the bulbs? What are the dimensions of the tank?
